lyrics

Don't ask me for anything
Don't talk to me the way that you talk
Oh what a nice specimen
What a luxurious thing for your arm
You ain't no human being
Until you know that everyone else is
How does that feel

And you can argue over the history
But it's all in the past to me
Nobody wronged you
You can take a walk along the wall
See so many creatures
Bore them to death, it's their fault if they leave you

And it's all just to be perfect
To be perfect you sequester yourself
No time to be anyone else's
How does it feel
To be a tall handsome stranger
To be a dark studio prop for a republican man
Who says you look pretty english
But not as pretty as the English look
How would that feel
How would it feel
Don't you remember how it felt
To be hiding under that bridge
How can you ask for that again
Please god
Let this be the last time

And God looked upon the men
And He saw that they were good
And God felt a deep dismay
For without His suffering their lives would have no meaning
And so God said "let there be ignorance"
And there was ignorance; and the ignorant induced suffering upon the reasonable
And God saw that it was good
And God said "let goodness not be that which blesses the greatest number: let it instead be that which was done in the past"
And it was so
And God looked again upon the men
And He blessed their holy suffering
For He knew that it was good
And all the centuries of time did go by
And all that passed was as the LORD intended
But God looked once more upon the men
And He saw a great disaster
For they had come to enjoy their suffering
And lo, it had lost its meaning
And so God created women
And God said "the women shall suffer in place of the men"
And God saw that it was good
And God blessed the suffering of the people
And God blessed those who led His flock to their deaths
And god wondered at the words of the people as they took him away
"You or us" they said

Such lovely meat
For your loneliness
Happiness
The joy of a hard day's back-breaking work
Your reward in the evening
A needle in the centre of god's unseeing eye
A slab of flesh to devour at your leisure
Like pigs at the farmer's market
So much respect
